Last updated: 20 September 2026. This notice describes the PuzzleTempo website, not the separate Play Sudoku mobile app.
No account needed
PuzzleTempo does not ask you to create an account, provide an email address or sign in. There is no public leaderboard.
What stays in your browser
Your most recent 100 games are stored in browser local storage. This includes puzzle grids and solutions, your entries, pencil notes, active play time, mistakes, hints, completion status and daily challenge dates. Personal scores, statistics and streaks are calculated from these records. Data does not sync between devices.
Use “Clear local history” inside Sudoku to remove your games. You can also remove all website data in your browser settings. Private browsing or blocked/full browser storage may prevent saving. An on-screen notice appears when saving fails.
What connects to Firebase
Fresh puzzles and daily assignments are read from Google Cloud Firestore. The site does not upload your moves, scores or game history. Google infrastructure processes network information, such as your IP address and request details, to deliver these services. Firebase Hosting serves the website when deployed.
Offline files and installation
A service worker caches site pages and game files to help previously visited content work offline. These caches may include Google’s Firebase software files, but not Firestore query responses. Uninstalling the home-screen shortcut may not clear browser storage; remove site data in your browser to delete all cached content.
Advertising, tracking and sharing
This website version does not include advertising, analytics, marketing cookies or social tracking pixels. Copying an achievement puts the result text on your clipboard only when you request it; you decide where to paste it.
Read Google Firebase’s privacy information for details about their infrastructure.
